The country is one of the few places that are subject to a critical crime warning, as it has one of the world’s highest per capita murder rates. Reports show that it suffered 69 murdered per 100,000 people in 2012.

In one occasion, 69 passengers were robbed during two cruise excursions. What’s worse, the cruise lines and local tourism officials did not provide warnings about prior crimes against tourists here.

There are too many drugs, guns, robbery incidents and murders to choose this place for a family cruise. Here, cruise passengers are warned of the dangers ashore, especially in St. Thomas.

This country has seen some of the worst crimes over the years. Though drugs and executions do not happen in the tourist areas, the cruising destinations here still suffer from the poor image these incidents create.

This country suffers one of the highest murder rates in the world, with crime substantially increasing over the last few years. So, you might want to reconsider making it your cruise destination.

Several armed robberies of cruise passengers and sexual assault of one have been chronicled here. It is even said that the police are either corrupt or indifferent in this country.

Crime has gotten worse in this country, especially in Nassau, which has been a source of more crime complaints than all the other ports in the Caribbean combined. Its port is definitely a dangerous place to take your family.
